Lag? Nope! It's a feature called, "Heavy Spatial Distortion" that occurs when too many capital ships are in close proximity to each other!

I love the RP spin on this one...

Hey, at least they're trying to put a light touch on it. Everyone knows it was lag and a dying node, but it's a fun challenge for a writer to come up with an in-character reason for that happening... and at least it's enjoyable to read. Smile

Oh I think it's excellent! I also think it's funny that people associate ISD's press release with a CCP RP-cover-up of Lag. Most of the time, I like to brag about the average level of intelligence among the EVE population. There really are some incredibly bright minds associated with this game. Then there's certain people who flame and whine without any facet of knowledge or basis in reality. I often ponder to myself, "How the hell can you even play this game when you are so substantially brain dead?" Then I realize that they are merely minions and pawns in a slowly grinding slithering machine that constitutes the majority of 0.0 alliances today. They simply follow instructions. Warp here, target this guy, F1-F8. Repeat. I now take great joy in their tears, more sometimes than those of carebears. The fact that they fail to see that CCP is still breaking ground on various aspects of server technology has become comical.

I applaud ISD for reporting the "news" in a fashion that is entertaining for the player base Smile
